Baby Rag Quilt
My quilt group met on Monday, and finally I had something to add to the pile of baby quilts we are making this year. It was a very simple rag quilt, but it's the very first one I've ever made, and it's done, so I'm satisfied.
I used a grey and pink homespun flannel paired with a cute baby print flannel that was in a basket of fabric from my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law loved children so I think she would approve of her fabric going into a quilt to be donated to a family in need.
And other baby quilt completions:
Brenda made this from some string pieced cut-offs from a previous project--just added a border and it was perfect for a baby size.
This was also Brenda's handiwork. She did some lovely machine quilting on the white squares.

Great baby quilts , I have never made a rag quilt but have that on the list ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose rag quilts are alot of work! This is my first time on your blog and have read back a few posts and am enjoying the reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Sheila and Susan! A baby size rag quilt was a good way to try out this style for me--not too overwhelming!
