Off My Needles: Fingerless Mitts

I might have made a mistake in introducing my oldest daughter to Ravelry, the online community for knitters and other fibre artists to find patterns, supplies and inspiration. She asked me to knit her a pair of fingerless mitts, so I told her to look on Ravelry for free patterns that she liked.

After she had favourited 10-20 patterns, all with cables, I made her choose. She chose this one, Vancouver Fog by Jen Balfour, in a worsted weight that would knit up fairly quickly. The yarn is a cotton-acrylic blend, 'cause wool drives her crazy (me too!), which turned out quite nice. I think I might have to knit me a pair of fancy mitts like this too!

(But first, my other daughter has my knitting services in queue, stay tuned...)

  3. Hi!
I'm looking to do something like this for my sister, and went to Ravelry and after hours of seaching I was unable to find this one. Would it be possible for you to please copy the URL of the web page were the pattern is?
It is indeed a beautiful design.
