Snakes and Ladders
My friend Heather knew I made books out of game boards like Scrabble and Monopoly. She recently challenged me with the gift of an old Snakes and Ladders game board, and asked if I could use it. Not being able to turn down any free materials, I said yes! The cardboard was too thin for a hard cover coptic bound book, but just perfect for a longstitch binding.
I cut the board in half, found some papers that matched the colours of the board, and bound two new books with some hemp cord in matching blue and yellow. They were fun to make, and would be just as fun to use! And with a generous 240 pages, there's loads of room to write about your ups and downs!

Those are just so cute! I'm sure they'll be snatched up fast.
