Sure Signs of Spring
These are the sure signs of spring in Manitoba:
Flooding of normally quiet creeks and all of the local rivers. This is, after all, a flood plain we live on.
The climbing rose starts pushing its way out of its winter protection.
New growth. One day it's there, the next it is a snack for the local deer or rabbit population.
I've had to resort to this if I hope to see any tulips blooming this year.
The return of the little creatures.
I am not thankful for the flooding and it's devastating effects. I am thankful for the small joys of spring. What are you thankful for today?
