Autumn Memories Challenge


This softcover journal is one of my favourite books so far! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and happy to add it to my ecofriendly journal portfolio! It was created for the TransCanada Etsy Team's (TCET) challenge to create something on the theme of Autumn Memories. You can vote for your favourite item until October 7 by clicking here. 


I strip pieced scraps of cotton quilting fabric in rich autumn colours, then added borders of a thrifted khaki coloured linen. It is interfaced to provide a light stiffness to the covers. Everything inside is kept safe with a vintage button closure.


The papers are made by local papermakers Botanical PaperWorks, so luscious and organic! Handbound with a longstitch binding.
