So glad to be on holidays this week! That meant that when I heard on Monday about the Craft on the Loose exhibit at The Forks in Winnipeg, running until August 20, we could work it into our plans for Tuesday. It was a cold day, but no rain, so we explored under the trees and on fences and in the hedge to find little art and craft pieces designed to surprise and delight the viewer.
From the website of the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library:
"The show includes work from both professional and hobbyist craftspeople and allows exhibitors to show their creativity and skill. In bringing the exhibit outdoors, we hope to alter the perception of where art can be displayed while at the same time allowing a wider audience access to view these fun and whimsical pieces."
