Last Quilt Challenge
Here are the results of my quilt group's final challenge of the year:
For Brenda, we made Ticker Tape squares with "quilting-as-you-go". We used this tutorial by Amanda Jean, and used up all those little scraps too small for most projects. With quilting as you go, the backing, batting, and top are sandwiched together, and as the pieces are sewn on, the quilt square is quilted, saving time later! My blocks are in the 3rd row from the top, the 1st and 3rd blocks from the left. This was a fun block to make, and I will probably use this technique again--it would be fun to use on a tote bag!
