Carnival Challenge

The Bookbinding Etsy Street Team (BEST) held a challenge to its members: create a book on the carnival theme to celebrate all the carnivals that are currently taking place around the world. Here is the book I made for the challenge:

The covers are bookcloth made from a quilting cotton and it is bound with a double needle coptic binding which leaves a nice chain stitch on the spine. Each section of pages is wrapped with a piece of black handmade paper from Botanical Paperworks. This paper has a fine festive glitter in it.

Stop by the BEST blog and vote for your favourite! There are some really amazing entries!
