Amish Quilt Blocks
The challenge for my quilting group for this month was to make Amish style quilt blocks for Stephanie. She requested solid colours only, bordered with squares in the corners.
These are the blocks I made:
And here are the blocks made by the whole group. I think these will be quite stunning all together in a quilt.
With my fabric, I'm continuing to do a block each month related to the challenge, and this is what I made, using triangle scraps cut off in the making of other blocks:

i always love the simplicity of amish quilts....they really let the fabric speak for itself! i love your version in the last photo.....fabulous!! :))
ReplyDeleteThanks Lori! This was a fun challenge to work only with the solid coloured fabrics. It's nice to hear what they say as compared to some of the louder fabrics out these days.
