Thankful for Holidays
Today I returned to work after a short 2 week vacation. Before I get caught in the routine again, I want to share a few highlights and things I am thankful for:
...the freedom, means, and opportunity to travel
...amazing wonders of God's creation (photo below taken at Kakabeka Falls, Ontario)
...wide expanses of uninhabited land in Canada
...peaceful moments on the north shore of Lake Superior
...a family content with simple pleasures
...the song of loons on the lake
...a wonderful Bed & Breakfast host just east of Thunder Bay
...little baby surprises along the way
...lovely days camping in spite of rain
...good health to enjoy bike rides, skating, hiking
...homemade music, private concerts
...campfires to warm the body and spirit
I hope you too are enjoying the summer months. What are you thankful for today?

I'm am so thankful for those things too. We just spent our vacation in Minnesota and I just love the vast expanses of this country (and Canada too). I sometimes wish the rest of the world could see what a beautiful place we live in.
