Blue Monday

Today is Blue Monday, supposedly the most depressing day of the year. This date typically falls on the Monday of the last full week of January, when people may be feeling down about debts, the weather, failed new year's resolutions....the list goes on. Here in Canada, it should have fallen last Monday, when the temperatures were bitterly cold and we all wanted to hibernate. Today it's warm and slushy, a remarkable turn around from last week, and there seems to be a lot more good cheer all around.

But to honour the blues, here are a few lovelies that can't help but cheer from fellow members of the TransCanada Etsy Team, a group of artisans from across Canada who individually sell our products through the online shopping site Etsy.com for everything handmade.

I can't help but smile, looking at these great I Got the Blues... Beaded Corkboard or Jewelry Display Pins from WildWomanJewelry:

I would love to curl up with some knitting needles and this gorgeous Blue Skies Handspun Yarn with Merino and Romney wool from OffTheHooks

With this cozy Handwoven Recycled Denim Rag Rug by fiveforty under my feet

Of course, I could only curl up after finishing my shopping with these Re-usable foodbags - set of three blue by kootsac.

What colour will tomorrow be?
